i-Concept developed the Enterprise Information Portal for the German multinational CENTA Power Transmission. With this portal the employees of the engineering, marketing and sales department streamline their collaboration by timely sharing of relevant information. The portal contains sophisticated applications like business intelligence, product development process management and e-learning.

CENTA Power Transmission is an independent mechanical power transmission company specialising in the supply of engineered drive solutions for a wide range of industrial, precision automation and processing drive applications.

CENTA uses Enterprise Information Portal technology from i-Concept for knowledge management, business intelligence and e-learning. Worldwide hundreds of colleagues and agents use the portal to learn about recent developments on CENTA-specific products and technology. The users can log on to the SSL-secured portal to read all new contributions in the knowledgebase, follow the e-learning courses and do some tests and seek for market opportunities with Business Intelligence module. Live access to the portal is not a must to stay up-to-date. Users can also participate through e-mail. Contributions via e-mail will be inserted into the knowledgebase, including the virus-checked attachments. This and other user friendly features stimulate the participation and encourage problem solving.
